NMEC launches the “Spirit and Love” events in celebration of the New Year and Christmas
As part of the celebrations marking the New Year and the Glorious Christmas holidays, NMEC has launched the “Spirit and Love” events with the opening of a temporary archaeological exhibition in the Egyptian Textile Gallery, which will run for two months. The exhibition is organized in collaboration with the Coptic Museum in Cairo and was inaugurated in the presence of a delegation from the Church, alongside a number of public figures and individuals interested in Coptic heritage and art.
The exhibition features a distinguished and rare selection of masterpieces of Coptic art, displayed to the public for the first time. These include icons, Coptic manuscripts, and artistic objects that were used in monasteries and churches. Among the highlights are an icon depicting the Birth of the Virgin Mary and a stone relief portraying her nursing Jesus Christ, reflecting the richness of this heritage and its artistic and symbolic value.
