NMEC Strengthens Academic and Research Collaboration
In recent days, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) received three academic visits from local and regional institutions, reflecting its commitment to supporting scientific research, hands-on training, and cultural cooperation.
One of the visits included a delegation from a training course on DNA analysis, organized by the Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority in collaboration with the Arab Atomic Energy Agency. Participants were introduced to bioanalysis techniques used in the museum’s laboratories.
The museum also welcomed a student delegation from the Faculty of Biotechnology at University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), where the visit included hands-on training and an agreement to carry out graduation projects inside the museum labs under joint supervision.
In a third visit, a delegation from the National Library and Archives (Dar Al-Kutub) explored opportunities for collaboration in the restoration of documents and manuscripts, as well as supporting the museum’s library with specialized references.
Museum officials emphasized that these visits are part of NMEC’s strategy to become an integrated research and training hub that bridges heritage and modern science.
